The Role – Primary Teacher (Nursery) As a Primary Teacher, you will be based in a Nursery class within a welcoming primary school, delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate learning in line with the EYFS framework. You will plan and deliver play-based activities that support early language development, early literacy and numeracy, and personal, social and emotional development. You will be responsible for observing and assessing pupils’ progress, maintaining learning journals, and working closely with Teaching Assistants and Early Years staff. Building positive relationships with parents and carers will also be a key part of the role. The successful Primary Teacher will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel confident and eager to learn.
