Job Description: Job Summary Skilled Operator – Thames Water Civils Project Location: Kingston Bagpuize (OX13 5HS) Start Date: 5th January 2026 Contract: Long-term project We are looking for an experienced Skilled Operator to join a major civils project on a Thames Water site. This role involves supporting essential water infrastructure works, including drainage, pipeline installation, and deep excavation. Key Responsibilities * Operate and maintain civil plant and equipment (excavators, pumps, etc.) * Assist with pipeline installation, drainage works, reinforced concrete structures, and earthworks * Carry out site preparation, temporary works, and dewatering * Follow strict health & safety protocols, RAMS, and permit systems * Support maintenance schedules and respond to breakdowns * Work collaboratively with site teams to meet project milestones Requirements * Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) * CAT & Genny (Cable Avoidance Tool) ticket preferred * Experience on civils projects, ideally within water/wastewater environments * Strong understanding of site safety and utility avoidance * Ability to work as part of a team and deliver high-quality results Desirable * Previous experience on Thames Water or similar utility frameworks * Knowledge of temporary works and traffic management * Familiarity with AMP7/AMP8 water infrastructure projects * Start Date: 5th January 2026 Duration: Long-term Competitive rates If you’re available and meet the criteria, apply today to secure your place on this essential infrastructure project.
