Water Hygiene Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor £28,000 – £32,000 per year (Base Salary) OTE £35,000 - £45,000 (Bonus and Travel etc) Permanent, Full-time Overview We are working with a well-established organisation within the compliance and water hygiene sector, currently seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer or Legionella Risk Assessor to join their team. Role Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a full range of water hygiene and Legionella control services, including but not limited to: Temperature monitoring and routine water hygiene checks Water sampling TMV servicing and fail-safe checks Showerhead descaling and disinfection Cold water storage tank inspections and condition reporting Calorifier inspections and blowdowns Disinfection of hot and cold-water systems Conducting Legionella risk assessments (experience or training dependent) Producing accurate site reports and compliance documentation Identifying non-conformances and advising clients on corrective actions Carrying out plumbing-based remedial works where competent Liaising directly with clients and representing the company professionally onsite Key Requirements: A minimum of 1 year’s experience within water hygiene or Legionella control Understanding of ACOP L8, HSG 274 and relevant guidance (training provided if required) Strong communication and customer-facing skills Ability to manage workload, travel to multiple sites and work independently The role also requires travelling to Ireland for 1 week each month Full UK driving licence Good IT skills, including experience with digital reporting and mobile apps Strong attention to detail and a safe, methodical approach to work Willingness to travel and be flexible with working hours Ideal Background Water Hygiene Technician Legionella Risk Assessor Water Treatment Engineer Plumber (with compliance experience) Maintenance Engineer What’s on Offer Competitive base salary between £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience Ongoing training and professional development Opportunities to progress within a growing compliance team Company vehicle, equipment and uniform provided Supportive management and a varied workload
