Structural Engineer Cardiff  £32,000 – £40,000 + benefits A well-established and expanding structural engineering consultancy in Cardiff is seeking a Structural Engineer to support continued growth across its buildings portfolio. This role offers strong technical exposure, early responsibility, and a clear pathway toward chartership within a collaborative consultancy environment. The Consultancy The practice delivers structural engineering, civil engineering, and party wall services to clients across South Wales and the UK. Projects are primarily within the residential and commercial sectors, ranging from small-scale domestic works to larger commercial and mixed-use developments. The Role The successful Structural Engineer will be involved in the delivery of a varied workload, including: Structural design and analysis of buildings using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry Preparation of calculations, technical reports, and design information Liaising with architects, contractors, and private clients Supporting projects from concept design through to construction Developing technical and commercial awareness within a consultancy setting About You 1–3+ years’ experience as a Structural Engineer in a UK consultancy BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and British Standards Experience using structural design software Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset Based in or able to commute to Cardiff (or willing to relocate) What’s On Offer Salary of £32,000 – £40,000, depending on experience Clear career progression with full chartership support (ICE / IStructE) Hybrid working (typically 2 days per week from home) Flexible working hours 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension scheme Friendly, supportive consultancy with long-term development opportunities Apply If you are a Structural Engineer in Cardiff looking to progress your career within a growing consultancy, please apply or contact Steven Hill for a confidential discussion
