Infrastructure Engineer Our client, a highly reputable business located in the heart of Kent, is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join their internal IT department to provide 3rd line escalation support & project management to their Microsoft IT ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a broad range experience across service desk, networking and infrastructure gaining exposure to Windows Servers, 365/Azure, SharePoint and AD/Exchange as the company continues its on premise to cloud transformation program. Reporting to the IT Manager, you’ll provide hands-on support across servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, specialist applications, and network infrastructure. Our client is looking to pay up to £40,000 to £45,000 circa, to be based in Maidstone, Kent (5 days per week, working 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm) with additional benefits including a 5% bonus potential. What you’ll do: Provide support across hardware, software, phones, mobiles, and specialist systems. Manage helpdesk enquiries, escalating where needed and seeing issues through to resolution. Support servers (Windows 2012/2016), Exchange 365, backups (Veeam), and network infrastructure. Set up new sites, accounts, and mobile devices. Maintain IT documentation and ensure smooth daily operations. What we’re looking for: Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT support or service function with experience in a 3rd Line Support position is a must have. Previous experience working within an Internal IT department is a nice to have. ERP management capabilites (ideally COINS or Netsuite) is a nice to have Technical expertise in Server Maintenance (2012 to 2016), Backups (Veeam) and Network Infrastructure is a must have Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Azure, 365, Office, SharePoint, AD, Exchange) is a must have. Confident, customer-focused problem solver with excellent communication skills. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites (company pool vehicle provided) Two stage interview process, with scope to start immediately
