This Contract FPGA Engineer role involves working on cutting-edge projects, delivering high-quality firmware solutions, and contributing to the development of innovative products. Duration: 6 months Location: Potters Bar Hybrid: 3 days on site, 2 from home Rate: £neg Contract FPGA Engineer key responsibilities: • Design, implement, and debug VHDL-based FPGA hardware. • Develop test benches and verification vectors for FPGA designs. • Define requirements, create design documentation, and ensure thorough testing with supporting evidence. • Build and configure firmware packages for release, including documentation and stakeholder communication. • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and conduct design reviews. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on firmware-related matters. • Use test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators) to validate hardware performance. Contract FPGA Engineer requirements: • 10+ years’ experience in FPGA design. • Proven ability to analyse system-level requirements • Strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. • Proficiency in VHDL
