SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Support TA Location: Hammersmith & Fulham, West London (near Putney Bridge Station) Contract: January 2026 - July 2026 Hours: 8:30am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) Setting: SEMH Secondary School | KS1 | Small Class Sizes About the Role An inclusive SEMH secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Support TA from January 2026. You will support pupils with SEMH needs, helping them regulate behaviour, build confidence and re-engage with learning. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment with small classes, strong pastoral support and an experienced team. The site is within walking distance of Putney Bridge Station and well served by bus routes. Key Responsibilities Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs across KS1 Deliver behaviour management and de-escalation strategies Provide 1:1 and small-group learning and emotional support Implement behaviour plans and risk assessments Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and engagement Uphold safeguarding and welfare procedures The Ideal Candidate Calm, resilient and nurturing, with experience supporting SEMH or SEN pupils. Confident managing challenging behaviour and building strong relationships.
