General Building Operative

We are recruiting for General Building Operatives on behalf of our client in the Nottingham area. These are full time roles for an initial period of 3 months. Security vetting is required prior to employment. This is to carry out routine repairs and maintenance to tenanted properties. To undertake a wide range of maintenance works in domestic properties, to include decoration, joinery and general maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities for General Building Operative * Care and maintenance of tools, plant, materials and additional company property. * Health and Safety of self and others in the workplace. * Delivery of works allocated to quality required within set timescales. * Compliance with instructions and directives from line management and the Central Co-ordination Team * To deliver fabric repairs in both occupied and void properties. Qualifications needed for General Building Operative * Time served apprenticeship in a relevant trade * City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in joinery or similar discipline * Current full UK driving licence Skills required for General Building Operative * Joinery * Tiling * Minor plumbing – Desirable * Minor plastering – Desirable * Interpersonal skills Experience ·Required Technical Skills ·Ideally 2 years relevant work related experience
