Job Title:** Quantity Surveyor **Location:** London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office) **Salary:** £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience) **Contract Type:** Permanent **Sector:** Infrastructure ### **About the Role** Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly motivated and detail-focused Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Infrastructure division in London. This is a permanent opportunity suited to professionals looking to contribute to major, high-profile infrastructure projects across transport, utilities, highways, and energy. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of complex capital programmes, working closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure best-in-class cost, contract, and risk management. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Deliver cost management services across all stages of the project lifecycle, from feasibility to final account. * Prepare and analyse cost plans, estimates, and cash-flow projections for infrastructure schemes. * Support procurement activities, including tender documentation, evaluation, and contract recommendations. * Administer contracts under NEC, JCT or other relevant forms. * Manage change control processes, valuations, variations, and compensation events. * Lead or support commercial reporting, including cost forecasts, earned value, and performance metrics. * Provide risk, value engineering, and whole-life cost advice to clients. * Ensure compliance with Turner & Townsend quality standards and governance processes. * Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, project partners, and internal teams. ### **Required Experience & Skills** * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the **infrastructure sector** (e.g., rail, highways, utilities, energy, water, or major civils). * Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts JCT experience beneficial. * Demonstrable commercial and financial management capabilities. * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team. * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. * A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar. * Professional membership or progression toward RICS (desirable). ### **What T&T Offers** * Competitive salary £45k-£60k depending on experience. * Hybrid working model - **3 days per week in the London office**. * Discretionary performance bonus. * Private medical insurance and extended health benefits. * Pension scheme with employer contributions. * 25+ days annual leave plus bank holidays. * Opportunities for professional development, chartership support, and funded training. * Access to large-scale, flagship UK infrastructure projects. * Inclusive culture centred on wellbeing, diversity, and career growth
