No.: CJD(phone number removed)E Location: Based near Glasgow Salary: £38,0000 - £48,000 This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a fresh, professional Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as a market-leading team of design experts in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a keen, capable Senior Civil Engineer with demonstrable knowledge of drainage and non-infrastructure design who is willing to lead a team in their delivery of a range of challenging projects. You will be responsible for leading a passionate team of design engineers, based near the lively, artistic city of Glasgow. Benefits for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include (but are not limited to): - Highly-competitive salary - Employee Pension Scheme - Generous annual leave allowance - Dedication to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), with extensive career progression opportunities - Delivery of a wide range of engineering projects across the region and beyond - Contributing to the developmental direction of the company Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include: Delivering an exciting range of projects and developments Leading a team of Civil Engineering professionals, providing mentorship Overseeing a variety of aspects of engineering projects, delivering them to the highest of standards within agreed timescales and budgets Leading the delivery of a number of residential, commercial, and industrial projects Building and maintaining important professional relations with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors Preparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, method statements, and other technical documents Enforcing company policies, procedures, ensuring all colleagues adhere to best practice Upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times Working to business development strategies, acting as a trusted company representative Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include: A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a similar, relevant discipline Chartered Status with a recognised Professional Body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, etc.), or proactively working to attain this Extensive experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK consultancy Demonstrable experience of working with water-based non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, pumping stations, etc.) Experience of detailed civil engineering design, particularly drainage systems and strategies Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) Considerable experience of preparing technical documents Prior experience of leading projects and/or people Experience of managing client and stakeholder relations Good organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Hold a full, valid UK driving licence Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include: A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments Experience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS) Experience of working in a public-facing role If you are interested in the role of Senior Civil Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
