KS3 Nurture Teacher Location: Bromley Contract: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Are you a compassionate, creative and resilient teacher who thrives on helping young learners re-engage with education? Academics is seeking a dedicated KS3 Nurture Teacher to join a supportive alternative provision / SEN setting in the Bromley area. The Role As a KS3 Nurture Teacher, you will: Lead a small KS3 nurture group focused on social, emotional and academic development Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a primary model or broad KS3 curriculum Build positive, trusting relationships with learners who may present SEMH needs or be working below age-related expectations Use nurturing, trauma-informed and restorative approaches to promote emotional regulation, confidence and independence Work closely with support staff, the SENCO and wider pastoral teams Track progress and contribute to personalised learning plans (PLPs/EHCP targets) The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has QTS or equivalent teaching qualification Has experience working with KS3 students, nurture groups, SEN or SEMH learners Understands child-centred, relational and trauma-informed practice Is patient, proactive, reflective, and committed to inclusion Can create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment Works effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
