Pricing Specialist

Role: Pricing Specialist - Ocean Freight Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Salary: From £32k + bonuses Work Pattern: Office Based, Mon - Fri 08:00am - 16:00pm / 09:00am - 17:00pm We are working with one of the largest privately owned international freight forwarding companies with multiple office across the country, who are actively on the lookout out for a Pricing Specialist specialising in Ocean Freight. This company has been established for over 35+ years and are continuing to grow in the industry. Duties: * Negotiate rates with carriers / hauliers / suppliers * Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within agreed timeframe * Work within our in-house system to create and issue quotations * Communicate with customers to manage and follow up all quotes * Adjusting pricing where possible to ensure we secure opportunities. * Develop and build relationships and provide the highest level of customer service to all customers Skills: * Strong analytical thinking skills * Excellent attention to detail * Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skills * Able to cope and accustomed to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines * Strong numerical and commercial skills * Industry and operational knowledge of Ocean freight - inbound, outbound, and cross trade If you have the right skillset/ experience and are ready to make the next move to join an industry leading company, then apply today
