CNC 5-Axis Machinist

CNC 5-Axis Machinist Pegbox Recruitment is looking for a skilled CNC 5-Axis Machinist to join our client’s busy machine shop’s day shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join one of the UK's undisputed composite manufacturing champions. Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, you will play a key role in programming, setting, and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-quality parts for various applications. What you will be doing: * Set up and operate 5-axis machining CNC machines * Working on epoxy / Polyurethane (PU) patterns, fixtures, and carbon components * Program and edit CNC code to produce varied and complex high precision parts * Carry out routine maintenance to keep machines running smoothly * Read and interpret engineering drawings to define machining requirements * Inspect parts to ensure they meet the required specification and high-quality standards * Follow SOPs to ensure accuracy and consistency * Troubleshoot, solve and document any machining issues that might occur * Maintain clear records of production runs, settings, and tool changes * Stay up to date with the latest CNC machining techniques and technology * Support with other tasks and teams when needed To be considered for this role, you will need to have: * Solid track record as a CNC Machinist, especially with 5-axis machining * Skilled in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines * Strong understanding of machining processes and materials * A keen eye for detail and great problem-solving skills * Good communication and a team-first attitude * Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to a safe workplace * Flexibility to work overtime when production demands Please apply with your CV and we will be in contact to set up a confidential conversation. #pegboxjobs
