Consultation and Engagement Advisor Salary & Grade £36,032 per annum (pay award pending) Grade 6 Location Wellington House, Leeds / Hybrid Hours Full time 37 hours per week Tenure Permanent Please note that the Combined Authority will consider requests for part-time working and/or job share. We are seeking to appoint an organised, enthusiastic, and confident person to join the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s dedicated Communities, Consultation and Engagement team. As a Consultation and Engagement Advisor you will be involved in a range of projects. With a good understanding of the principles of consultation and engagement, you may have a background in research, communications, marketing or other related disciplines. You will have the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals, where you will work on exciting projects supporting a range of themes and priorities such as culture, climate, housing, business and skills. This is a diverse role, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in an extensive range of exciting projects covering all aspects of the work of the Combined Authority. Please note: We are currently recruiting for two positions within our team - a Grade 6 Advisor and a Grade 7 Officer. This advert is for the Grade 6 Advisor role. The Role Reporting to a Senior Consultation and Engagement Officer, your key responsibilities will include: · You will help plan, manage, deliver and evaluate consultation, market research and engagement activities, enabling an extensive range of audiences to shape and influence our priorities and programmes. · You will use research techniques to collect, analyse and present consultation and engagement findings · You will support the full team including public engagement events, with the development of engagement equipment, and using stakeholder management software About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: · You will be an ambitious and confident individual with experience of project support · Experience of effectively contributing to projects or programmes with multiple stakeholders and/or working in partnership · An understanding of engagement methods and tailoring these for different audiences · Knowledge and experience of some of the key technical aspects of the role (e.g., stakeholder mapping, survey design and data collection, market research, engagement with seldom heard groups, data analysis and report writing) with a strong desire to learn more · An understanding of and commitment to accessible, inclusive engagement To Apply If this sounds like your next role, please complete the application form and tell us within the supporting statement why you would be a great fit for our role and how your skills, knowledge and experience align with the requirements within the Role Profile.
