Quality Manager - Rolling Stock

Job title: Quality Manager Job location: Crawley - 3 Bridges / Hornsey - North London Salary: £70,000 /£75,000 Shifts: Days (Flexible) Duration: Temp to Perm Start date: ASAP Industries considered: Rolling Stock, Automotive, Aviation, Armed Forces, Marine, General Engineering Client Summary: Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance. Position Summary * Implementing a range of production quality standards and concepts according to defined production targets * Conducting quality circles and facilitating reliability improvement projects in conjunction with engineering * Advise and escalate to accountable managers in the unit of quality related issues * Analysis of maintenance workflows and proposal of improvements to the area * Design and coordinate standards and methods for quality inspection, test and evaluation * Perform production quality reporting and analysis *Initiate training for production employees with regards to quality (PDCA, Poke Yoke etc.) Person Profile/Experience Strong experience in a quality/manufacturing/maintenance environment, ideally in a similar role. * Good knowledge and experience of implementing and managing full life cycle quality circles * Strong background in Practical Problem Solving, with strong analytical eye for detail * Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, …) PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION.
