Job Title: School Caretaker / Site Manager Location: Haringey & Surrounding Areas Salary: £16 – £20 per hour (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Settings: Primary, Secondary & SEN Schools Hours: Flexible Hours Contract: Temporary / Permanent About the Role Are you an experienced School Caretaker or Site Manager with a background in construction, maintenance, or facilities management? Looking for a rewarding position where your practical skills help to create a safe, well-maintained and welcoming school environment? Complete Classroom Services is recruiting Caretakers and Site Managers to support a range of Primary, Secondary and SEN schools across Haringey and the surrounding areas. We are seeking proactive, hands-on individuals who can take ownership of site maintenance, ensure daily operations run smoothly, and uphold high standards of safety and compliance. Candidates with experience in construction, building services or facilities management are strongly encouraged to apply. Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Overseeing the general upkeep and security of school buildings and grounds • Completing or supervising minor repairs and maintenance (DIY, plumbing, carpentry, electrical) • Managing contractors and ensuring Health & Safety compliance • Conducting routine safety checks (fire alarms, emergency exits, water systems) • Supporting room/venue setups for school events and functions • Monitoring stock, ordering materials, and managing site resources effectively • Ensuring safeguarding, site safety and secure access at all times The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Previous experience as a caretaker, site manager, or in a maintenance/facilities role • Strong understanding of building maintenance and repairs • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability • Excellent communication and organisation skills • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in school environments • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Why Join Complete Classroom Services? • Regular opportunities across local schools • Competitive hourly rates – £16 to £20 per hour • Immediate and flexible start options • Temporary, long-term and permanent placements available • Ongoing support from a specialist recruitment team Apply now by sending your updated CV
