Mechanical Lead

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Portugal. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the time critical nature of this role we require applicants to have an EU based passport in order to speed up the Visa application process. Responsibilities * Lead a team of Mechanical Engineers * Proposing suitable changes to design to improve cost efficiency, ease construction programme, and to enhance specification and quality completion * Display commercial astuteness * Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials * Coordinate and liaise with contracts manager, site engineers and other discipline leads to ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information * Check and ensure understanding of drawings and specifications. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in a timely manner * Establish project resource requirements and lead and motivate the project team * Oversee highest quality of health and safety Requirements * Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or relevant area * Strong knowledge of procurement * Experience in scheduling, programming, and sequencing * Experience in effectively leading MEP teams is essential * Experience in the delivery in Data Centre MEP projects * Strong communication and interpersonal skills Benefits * Working on large scale data centre projects * Collaborative team working environments * Career progression and development supported * Competitive salary packages
