Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 Location: Glasgow Contract: Permanent, Full Time Overview Alpinefox Recruitment is supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in their search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. What You’ll Be Doing * Preparing, negotiating and analysing budgets and cost plans. * Ensuring all subcontractors are fully pre-qualified and compliant. * Procuring subcontractors and preparing relevant order documentation. * Assessing and certifying subcontractor interim payments, including issuing Payer/Pay-Less notices. * Providing advice on contractual and legal matters, identifying and mitigating commercial risks. * Producing and presenting monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs). * Building, maintaining and strengthening relationships across project and commercial teams. * Allocating, overseeing and evaluating work carried out by yourself and others. * Supporting the wider commercial team and mentoring Quantity Surveyors. * Ensuring effective communication between commercial and operational site teams. * Attending site regularly as required. What We’re Looking For * Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor (or equivalent). * Strong civil engineering project experience. * Excellent working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract. * High-level commercial awareness and contract understanding. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Highly organised, able to prioritise and meet deadlines. * Excellent numerical, IT and problem-solving abilities. * Willing to travel to sites across the region
