Teaching Assistant - PRU: Location: Longsight Start Date: 06/01/2026 Pay: £95-£105 per day, depending on experience Are you a caring and Team Teach trained individual with experience supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Prospero Teaching are currently working with a primary pupil referral unit, in the Lonsight area, to recruit experienced teaching assistants and learning mentors. Role: As a teaching assistant, your daily responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils aged between 4-11 with SEMH needs, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis Contributing towards an inclusive and engaging learning environment Preparing adapted and engaging learning resources Maintaining regular communication with parents and other staff to monitor progressExperience, Training & Qualification: The successful candidate for the PRU Teaching Assistant role will have: Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided) Team Teach training (highly desired but training can be provided) Strong behaviour management skills Resilience in high-pressure environmentsTo be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional referencesOther If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
