Complex Needs Teaching Assistant: Location: Cheadle (SK8) Pay: £95-£105 per day, depending on experience Start Date: 06/01/2026 Are you a kind and compassionate teaching assistant looking for a new role? Prospero Teaching are currently working with a large SEN provision in the Cheadle area, to recruit for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, starting in January. As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, providing personal care. The school supports pupils aged between 4-18 with complex needs. In addition to their learning difficulties, students have multiple medical needs, including epilepsy, breathing difficulties and tube feeding. Students have difficulty communicating and are non-verbal, therefore alternative communication is used. This role is a long-term, temp-perm position for successful candidates. Your Role as a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant: As a complex needs teaching assistant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, offering individualised care Preparing engaging learning resources Building rapport with parents, pupils and staffThe Ideal Candidate for Complex Needs Teaching Assistant: Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided) Team Teach Training is highly desired Previous experience supporting complex needs, either within a care or education setting is essential for this roleTO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two yearsOTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
