Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a local authority in South London are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role in their Construction operations. Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: South London Salary: £500 a day umbrella Hours: Monday - Friday / 8:45am - 5:00pm  Contract: 3 months possible extension  Hybrid: 2 days in the office/on site! Key Responsibilities To assist in the co-ordination and management of cost control and procedures for the repairs and investment work of the housing stock. Producing and maintaining accurate financial information in compliance with the organisation’s standing orders. Take responsibility for ensuring effective cost control measures are in place & budgets adhered to regarding external and internal contracts. Forecast cash flow and manage accruals sharing information with other stakeholders where required. Review contractor valuations on a timely basis, ensure all works are completed along with relevant associated paperwork and that they are paid in accordance with the contractor terms and conditions. Job Requirements At least 3 years experience within a Senior Quantity Surveyor role or an equivalent role. A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with substantial post qualification building surveying experience. Contract knowledge, negotiation and OJEU procurement experience. Experience of commercially managing planned and maintenance contracts. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential for this role.
