Job Title: Warehouse Manager Based: Hatfield, Hertfordshire Salary: £35,000 pa, plus quarterly discretionary performance bonus Hours of work: Hours could be between 8.30am and 6pm, (but an 8-hour shift), Monday to Friday What Benefits are offered? The successful candidate for this Warehouse Manager role will be responsible for a warehouse with a high volume of pallets & picking and manage a team of 7 warehouse operatives. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing varied warehouse activities, including safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and the timely despatch of goods. Maintaining inventory & relevant records, and ensuring workplace health and safety, and security requirements are met for the building & stock. Team management responsibilities include planning & assigning daily work tasks, delegating jobs, training, and addressing potential performance issues, as well as resolving problems. Expectations will be to represent the business to a high standard across various levels, across all departments. Duties will include: Over-seeing and Helping to deliver the highest level of service across the warehouse function. Manage and develop the internal team of warehouse staff. Deal directly with escalated enquiries or issues if they arise. Manage the overhead costs for staff and company consumables. Maintaining the ongoing and high standard of stock control. Completing additional ad-hoc tasks as and when required, as set out by the Logistics Manager. This role needs to be flexible as the daily requirements of the business fluctuate and change. The  Warehouse Manager must be vigilant to all service standards and intervene wherever necessary to ensure the organisation maintains the highest level of service standards - seeking continual improvements to raise the service standards of the business.
