They’re looking for an ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager with a solid understanding of the waste industry to join their growing team, covering the Leeds area. The Role As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving growth in the commercial waste sector across Bradford and West Yorkshire. You’ll identify new opportunities, build long-term relationships with clients, and work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored waste management solutions. Key responsibilities include: * Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the commercial waste market * Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and prospects * Conducting market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities * Preparing and presenting tailored commercial waste proposals * Representing the business at networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings * Meeting and exceeding sales targets and contributing to overall business growth About You * Proven experience in business development, field sales, or account management * Essential: a strong understanding of the waste management industry (commercial waste experience highly advantageous) * Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills * Confident, self-motivated, and results-focused * Passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact * Full UK driving licence required (company car provided) What’s on Offer * Up to £35,000 basic salary * Realistic first-year earnings of around £50,000 with uncapped commission * Company car and expenses package * Supportive team culture focused on personal and professional development * Clear progression opportunities within a growing, environmentally responsible business
