HR & Payroll Manager Location: Hammersmith, London Salary: £44,605 – £47,656 per annum (Scale P02) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: 26 January 2026 Closing Date: 9 am, Thursday 4 December 2025 About the Role A highly regarded and well-established educational organisation in Hammersmith is seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Manager to oversee its HR operations and payroll function. Key Responsibilities * Manage the full monthly payroll cycle including starters, leavers, amendments and reconciliation. * Oversee HR administration, contracts, compliance and safer recruitment. * Lead recruitment from job advert to induction, ensuring best practice at every stage. * Provide guidance on HR policy, employment law, performance, wellbeing and employee relations. * Maintain accurate HR reporting and ensure full statutory compliance. * Develop and improve HR systems, processes and policies. * Work closely with senior leaders to support strategic HR planning. What We’re Looking For * Strong HR and payroll management experience, ideally within education or the public sector. * Confident knowledge of UK employment law and payroll processes. * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. * Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels. * Competent in HR software and Microsoft Office. * CIPD Level 5+ desirable but not essential.
