Area Sales Manager Location: Leeds (Field-Based Role – covering Yorkshire & surrounding regions) Salary: Competitive Basic + Commission + Car / Allowance + Benefits Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Opportunity A leading supplier of precision tooling and engineering solutions is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to manage and grow business across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions. This is a field-based role, ideal for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and driving revenue growth in the manufacturing, engineering, and machining sectors. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and develop a defined territory, maintaining and growing existing accounts * Generate new business through targeted prospecting and lead development * Provide technical guidance and consultative support on precision tooling and related solutions * Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and support customer trials * Negotiate pricing, prepare proposals, and close sales to meet or exceed targets * Maintain accurate pipeline management and reporting through CRM systems * Work closely with internal technical and applications teams to ensure customer satisfaction * Attend industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings to represent the business professionally Skills & Experience Required: * Proven sales experience in precision tooling, machine tooling, clamping, or industrial manufacturing equipment * Strong technical understanding of machining processes, tooling solutions, or engineering applications * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels * Self-motivated, target-driven, and confident working independently in a field-based role * Strong negotiation and commercial skills * Full UK driving licence Benefits: * Competitive salary and uncapped commission structure * Company vehicle or allowance * Pension and benefits package * Training and ongoing professional development * Opportunity to grow in a respected and technically focused business Why This Role: This role offers a talented sales professional the chance to take ownership of a territory, represent high-quality engineering solutions, and develop a career in a specialist and growing market.
