Primary School Teaching Assistant Location: Stratford, East London Pay: £95 - £115 per day Contract: Full-time, Long-term Start: ASAP Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive primary school in Stratford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will be supporting pupils across the school, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning and provide tailored support to children of different abilities. The role: Support pupils during lessons, group work and independent tasks Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation and classroom organisation Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required Encourage positive behaviour and promote a calm, inclusive learning environment Help pupils build confidence, resilience and enthusiasm for learning Support with reading, phonics, literacy and numeracy activities The ideal candidate: Experience working with children in a school or educational setting Confident supporting primary-aged pupils across different subjects A positive, proactive and patient approach Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils Reliable, organised, and committed to supporting pupil progress Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly primary school community and make a meaningful impact every day.
