Mechanical Project Manager Location: Newcastle Start Date: ASAP or January Rate: Negotiable Company: Leading Building Services Contractor Projects: £35m+ Commercial Refurbishment & Re-installation Overview A well-established building services contractor is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to take ownership of large-scale commercial refurbishment and re-installation projects valued at £35m+. You’ll be responsible for driving project delivery, managing the mechanical package end-to-end, and ensuring all works are completed on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full mechanical scope across major commercial refurbishment projects Manage project programs, cost control, progress reporting, and risk management Liaise closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams Lead site teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality delivery Review technical drawings, specifications, RAMS, and installation quality Ensure compliance with all building services standards and regulations Manage procurement, variations, and project handover documentation Resolve technical issues and keep delivery on track against key milestones Requirements Strong background in mechanical building services project management Proven experience delivering commercial refurb or large mechanical packages Ability to manage £multi-million projects with complex stakeholder groups Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant mechanical qualifications preferred Ability to start immediately or in January
