School Caretaker Assistant

We are looking to recruit a School Caretaker Assistant, for a local school in Harrow. We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Caretaker to support the smooth running, safety, and maintenance of our school site. This is a key role in helping ensure our pupils learn in a safe, welcoming and well-kept environment. As an Assistant Caretaker, you will work closely with the Site Manager/Caretaker to ensure the school premises are clean, safe, secure and well-maintained. This role includes general maintenance tasks, site security, and day-to-day operational support across the school. We are looking for someone who: • Is enthusiastic, proactive and able to use their initiative • Has good practical skills for basic repairs and maintenance • Can work well as part of a team and communicate effectively • Is organised, trustworthy and committed to high standards • Is willing to undertake relevant training (e.g., Health & Safety, manual handling) • Takes pride in creating a safe and welcoming school environment • Is flexible and willing to support wider school needs when required. The hours of work would be Monday - Friday 11am to 6pm 39 weeks per year term time only plus 3 weeks in the School Holidays. Additional Saturdays to be worked on a Rota basis 7am to 4pm. 42 week contract 39 weeks term time plus 3 weeks in the school holidays and Saturdays on a rota basis. Must have a Fully Enhanced DBS Certificate. The pay rate is £20-£24 per hour
