We’re supporting one of London’s largest and longest-established housing providers - an organisation recognised for its social purpose, community focus, and commitment to delivering safe, well-managed neighbourhoods. They’re now looking for an experienced Neighbourhood Manager to join their team on an interim basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out and about, engaging with residents, and taking ownership of estates and buildings across a defined patch. It’s a mobile position with the freedom to plan your own day, supported by a flexible office base when needed. Contract: Ongoing temporary contract Location: London, Hybrid (Any local office) Rates: £21.86 per hour (PAYE) | £27.76 per hour (Umbrella) Key Responsibilities: Estate Inspections Carry out regular inspections across estates and communal areas Identify and report repairs, hazards, cleaning standards, and tenancy/lease breaches Ensure schemes remain safe, well maintained, and compliantFire Risk & Compliance Support completion of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) actions Identify fire safety concerns during visits and escalate accordingly Monitor follow-up actions and ensure compliance across the patchNon-Access / No-Contact Cases Manage residents who haven’t responded to earlier communications Complete wellbeing checks, ensure compliance, and arrange follow-up visits Work proactively to resolve tenancy issuesRecord Keeping & Systems Upload accurate notes, actions, and inspection findings Keep digital records fully up to date to support compliance and reportingAbout the Role: Mostly field-based, visiting schemes daily Public transport friendly – a car is not essential Travel expenses paid between schemes (not from home to first site or last site homeward) If office presence is required, you can attend any local office for convenienceAbout You: Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Manager, or similar Strong understanding of housing management, safety, and compliance Confident managing your own workload and working independently Excellent communication, tenancy management, and customer-facing skills Detail-focused with a passion for safe, well-run neighbourhoods
