Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor (Surrey) Salary: Up to £75,000 + Benefits Permanent | Full-Time Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a reputable main contractor? We’re working with a well-established construction business based in Surrey that is expanding its commercial team and seeking a driven QS to support a growing pipeline of projects. About the Company This is an award-winning main contractor delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes across the South East. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of projects ranging from £1m to £20m. You will be involved from early pre-construction stages through to final accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities * Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects * Prepare cost plans, estimates, and tender documents * Lead procurement of subcontractors and materials * Manage valuations, variations, and payments * Maintain accurate cost reporting and forecasting * Support senior commercial leadership and work closely with operational teams Requirements * Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor * Strong knowledge of JCT contracts * Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines * Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred) What’s on Offer * Salary up to £75,000 (DOE) * Car allowance / travel package * Bonus scheme * Private healthcare * Clear progression opportunities within a growing contractor * Supportive, team-focused working environment
