Maintenance Surveyor (Damp and Mould Focus) South East London | £300 per day (Inside IR35) | Temporary 8 to 12 weeks | Immediate Start A small, community focused housing association in South East London is looking for an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join their property team on a short term basis. This is an immediate start contract supporting a local housing stock, with a particular emphasis on damp and mould case management in line with Awaab’s Law requirements. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a close knit environment where decisions are quick, workloads are manageable and your work makes a meaningful difference to residents. The Role You will deliver a responsive and high quality surveying service across a local housing portfolio. Responsibilities include: Completing responsive repair surveys, diagnosing defects and producing clear specifications of work. Leading on damp, mould and condensation cases and ensuring compliance with Awaab’s Law and internal service standards. Carrying out detailed inspections, identifying root causes and producing technical reports. Working closely with contractors, residents and internal teams to ensure efficient communication and timely completion of works. Raising orders, validating contractor costs and monitoring quality of completed jobs. Supporting wider property and compliance duties as required. What We’re Looking For Strong background in maintenance surveying or building pathology. Experience handling damp and mould cases within a residential or social housing context. Excellent communication and customer facing skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload effectively. Ideally based locally within South East London such as Bromley, Bexley, Penge, Lewisham, Croydon or surrounding areas.
