Payroll & Accounts Assistant Location: Blackpool (FY2) Salary: £27,000–£30,000 (Depending on Experience) Hours: Full-time, Permanent A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-focused Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and successful construction business based in Blackpool. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 200 Accounts who enjoys taking ownership of varied finance duties within a friendly and supportive team. Key Responsibilities: * Managing weekly payroll (approx. 75 operatives) and monthly payroll using Sage 50 * Handling PAYE, RTI submissions, pensions, HMRC processes, SSP, P11Ds and general compliance * Processing purchase ledger invoices and payments using Sage 200 * Managing sales ledger activity and project accounting (Sage 200) * Completing bank reconciliations and cashbook postings * Assisting with general finance and administrative tasks as required About You: * AAT or similar qualifications preferred * Experience with Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 200 Accounts * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Strong organisation and time-management skills * Confident using Excel and Word (intermediate level) * Clear communicator who enjoys working as part of a team What’s on Offer: * Salary between £27,000–£30,000, dependent on experience * 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (including a Christmas shutdown requiring 7 days’ allocation) * Standard working hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm (30-minute lunch), with occasional flexibility * A secure, growing business with a supportive and welcoming office environment * On-site parking If you’re an experienced payroll/accounts professional looking for a varied and rewarding role where your contribution will be genuinely valued, we’d love to hear from you
