SEN Teacher – January Start Location: Northolt Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Requirement: QTS essential UET1 A friendly and supportive SEN school in Northolt is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from January. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled practitioner with strong experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. About the School The school provides specialist education for pupils with Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), and communication or sensory needs. Classes are small and highly tailored, with strong support from experienced TAs and an integrated therapy team. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will: * Plan and deliver adapted lessons for pupils working across a wide range of abilities * Create structured, supportive learning environments with clear routines * Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and the wider SEN team * Use communication strategies such as visual supports, sensory-based learning, and alternative communication methods * Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with EHCP outcomes * Foster independence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour * Ensure a nurturing, inclusive classroom where every child can thrive What We’re Looking For * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential * Strong experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally in a specialist or alternative provision * Confident delivering a differentiated curriculum and personalised learning * Calm, patient, and resilient approach * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * A passion for supporting pupils with complex needs and helping them reach their full potential * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education) What’s on Offer * January start date * Supportive SLT and collaborative staff team * Ongoing CPD in SEN, behaviour, communication, and trauma-informed practice * Opportunities for internal progression * A rewarding role where you can make a meaningful impact every day
