About Education People We are a thriving, independent education recruitment agency based in the heart of Bristol on Whiteladies Road. We proudly supply primary and secondary teachers and support staff to schools across the South West on both day-to-day and long-term contracts. Due to continued growth, we’re now looking for an organised, proactive Recruitment Support Assistant to join our friendly team and keep our consultants’ desks running smoothly. The Role No two days are the same in this fast-paced position. You’ll be the vital support system that ensures bookings are filled quickly and accurately – often at short notice. It’s an excellent entry point into the world of recruitment without the pressure of individual targets, and a proven stepping stone for those who later want to move into a 360° consultancy role. Day-to-day you will: * Answer incoming calls and take bookings from schools * Confirm availability and details with candidates and clients * Accurately enter and update bookings on our database * Respond swiftly to emails, texts and last-minute changes * Shortlist and format CVs for specific vacancies * Send candidate marketing emails and keep records up to date * Support the team with general administration and ad-hoc tasks Shift Pattern (rota basis): The role will consist of some early mornings starting at 7am and occasionally you will be required to work later than 5pm at busy periods. Monday–Friday only (reduced hours during school holidays!) About You * You’re someone who thrives in a busy environment and stays calm when things move quickly. We’re looking for: * Confidence and clarity when speaking on the phone * Strong prioritisation and multitasking skills * Quick thinking and a proactive “can-do” attitude * Solid administration experience in a time-pressured office * Previous customer-facing or sales experience (outbound calls are part of the role) * Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams) * A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential What We Offer * Competitive salary £25k–£28k (dependent on experience) * Quarterly performance bonus (£1,000–£2,000 extra per year potential) * 23 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday off * Contributory pension & gym membership * Clear progression route to Recruitment Consultant (with higher earning potential) * Reduced hours during school holidays * Hybrid working (1 day per week from home) after probation * A genuinely supportive, fun team environment * Company events, dress-down Fridays and a great central Bristol location If you’re organised, personable and ready to play a key part in keeping schools staffed with great teachers, we’d love to hear from you.
