Maintenance Electrician – Healthcare Environment Location: Orpington, BR6 Salary: £40,000 plus £10,000 to £14,000 per annum for on-call rota (1 in 5 shared rota, minimal call-outs) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Benefits: 26 days holiday plus bank holidays off, Generous pension scheme and life assurance, plus Ongoing training and development opportunities!   Step into a role where your skills keep critical services running. We are looking for a proactive and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated facilities team for the Hospital. This is your opportunity to work in a fast-paced, essential environment where your expertise directly supports patient care and operational continuity.   What you’ll be doing as the Maintenance Electrician You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across the hospital site. From planned preventative maintenance to urgent fault response, your work will ensure safety, compliance, and reliability across a wide range of systems.   Key responsibilities for the Maintenance Electrician Delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance Replacing lamps, fittings, and lighting components Inspecting and testing fire alarm systems Reading and interpreting electrical schematics Maintaining general electrical infrastructure Supporting ventilation system maintenance (training provided if needed)  What you’ll need to apply for the Maintenance Electrician role ECS Gold Card City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Experience in healthcare or HTM environments is a plus Must live within one hour of the site for on-call duties  Why this Maintenance Electrician role stands out Base salary of £40,000 Additional £8,000 to £12,000 per year for joining the on-call rota (with minimal call-outs) 26 days holiday plus bank holidays Generous pension scheme and life assurance Ongoing training and development opportunities  This is a site-based role where your presence makes a real difference.
