Payroll Administrator (12 month fixed term contract) Location: Ashford, Surrey We’re looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll & Benefits team and help us deliver a reliable, accurate service to over 1,200 colleagues across the UK and Ireland. If you enjoy getting things right, can stay calm under pressure and want to work in a supportive, busy team, this could be a great fit. About the role You’ll be involved in the full payroll process for both monthly and weekly staff, keeping everything running smoothly from start to finish. This includes handling joiners and leavers, statutory payments, payroll deductions, and helping employees and managers with pay, tax and NI queries. You’ll support with reconciliations, RTI submissions, year-end tasks and general admin across the department. You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you do need a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in how payroll works. Experience with larger or more complex payrolls is helpful, and familiarity with systems like Workday or Time & Attendance software is a bonus. About you * At least 2 years of UK payroll experience, working end-to-end * Confident with numbers and comfortable using Excel * Good attention to detail and able to work to deadlines * Clear communicator who can explain things simply * Professional, discreet, and reliable * Flexible and happy to get involved where needed * Payroll qualifications are great to have, but not essential What matters most is that you take pride in your work and enjoy supporting others.
