Field-Based Business Development Manager Location: Yorkshire Based - UK-wide (Commercial Sector) Commercial Solar & Energy Solutions Type: Full-Time | Field-Based OTE: Strong base + uncapped commission Our client is expanding fast. We’re delivering commercial solar and battery solutions to businesses across the UK, and demand is ramping up. We’re now looking for a high-calibre Field-Based Business Development Manager to convert qualified commercial leads into revenue, not a cold-calling grind, but a role where the focus is closing deals, building relationships, and driving growth in a sector that’s only moving one way. What You’ll Be Doing * Attending prequalified commercial appointments generated by the in house team * Conducting on-site consultations with business owners, finance leads, and operational heads * Building tailored proposals and presenting cost, ROI, and technical benefits * Managing the full sales cycle from first meeting to signed contract * Working closely with technical teams to ensure seamless project delivery * Representing the brand professionally across industrial, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial environments What Good Looks Like * Proven track record in B2B field sales (energy, renewables, FM, technical solutions, or capital equipment ideal) * Confident presenting ROI-led proposals and handling commercial negotiations * Strong organisational discipline, able to run a busy diary and hit conversion targets * Comfortable travelling, meeting clients, and operating autonomously * A commercial mindset: spotting cross-sell, upsell, and long-term account opportunities * Clear communicator who can build trust quickly with decision makers What’s On Offer * A pipeline of qualified, inbound commercial opportunities * Strong earning potential with uncapped commission * A high-growth business in a booming sector * Support, training, and the tools needed to win in the field * Opportunity to play a genuine part in the UK’s energy transition
