Maintenance Operative Location: Accrington Salary: Competitive, with overtime available Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Aaban is looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team in Accrington. This role involves carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance within a care facility, ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for residents and staff. Please do not apply if you do not have an enhanced DBS or are not able to pass one.  Responsibilities Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across the facility Carpentry repairs including doors, skirting, architraves, and flooring Plumbing tasks such as leak repairs, unblocking, replacing fixtures, and appliance installations General building works including plaster patching, painting, tiling, and snagging Diagnosing and resolving faults quickly and effectively Working safely and professionally within a live care environment Requirements Proven experience as a Maintenance Operative or Multi-Trader Skilled across carpentry, plumbing, and general building maintenance Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills Respectful, professional approach when working in sensitive environments Excellent communication and customer service skills Driving licence preferred but not essential What We Offer Competitive pay with opportunities for overtime Long-term, secure role in Accrington Supportive working environment Training and development opportunities If you’re a hands-on and dependable operative who can deliver high-quality maintenance work with care and professionalism, we’d like to hear from you.
