Job Title: Occupational Hygienist Location: Oxford (Hybrid) Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Benefits A growing environmental and occupational health consultancy is looking to appoint an Occupational Hygienist to join their expanding team in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional with 1-3 years' experience and BOHS modules underway to take the next step in a supportive, well-structured consultancy environment. As an Occupational Hygienist, you will play a hands-on role delivering workplace exposure assessments across multiple sectors - helping clients manage risks, meet compliance obligations, and improve long-term employee wellbeing. You will gain exposure to a wide range of projects, with full support for BOHS training and fast progression opportunities. Benefits for the role of Occupational Hygienist include: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE Company pension + private healthcare 25+ days holiday + bank holidays Fully funded BOHS training and CPD Hybrid working and flexible hours Clear progression to Senior level Duties for the role of Occupational Hygienist include: Conducting workplace exposure monitoring (dust, fumes, noise, vibration) Completing LEV assessments and supporting COSHH reviews Preparing detailed technical reports and risk assessments Providing evidence-based recommendations to clients Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to team development Liaising with clients, regulators, and site contacts Skills and experience required for the role of Occupational Hygienist: 1-3 years' experience in occupational hygiene or workplace monitoring BOHS modules (W501-W507) completed or in progress Degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or similar Strong communication, organisation, and analytical skills Full UK driving licence essential If this role is of interest, or you're exploring other opportunities in Occupational Hygiene, please contact Aidan Morgan at Penguin Recruitment for a confidential discussion.
