Occupational Health Technician Region: North East and Scotland Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) + overtime opportunities Hours: Full-time with regular travel and overnight stays A leading name in Occupational Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Health Technician to join its expanding team, covering the North East and Scotland. What the Role Involves The Occupational Health Technician will be responsible for delivering first-class services to clients, either from mobile screening units, clinic settings, or suitable rooms on client sites. Duties include: Conducting health surveillance activities. Completing audiometry and spirometry assessments. Performing skin checks and Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS) Tier 1 and 2 screening. Carrying out fitness for work medicals, including driver and working at height assessments. Undertaking drug and alcohol testing. Venepuncture. Providing wellbeing medicals and promoting health initiatives. Driving and operating a mobile screening unit across the UK and Ireland. About You The ideal applicant will be a confident, proactive and autonomous practitioner with a passion for delivering high-quality occupational health services. They will have: Previous Occupational Health experience, ideally including health surveillance and fitness for work assessments. The ability to travel extensively across the UK with regular overnight stays. A full UK driving licence. Confidence and/or willingness to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. Competence in IT systems, including MS Office and electronic medical records. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
