Civil & Structural Engineer

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Civil & structural Engineer to work for a major client based in Immingham. This is a temporary contract position for an initial period of 12 months, and then will be reviewed after his period. Responsibilities: * Develop and implement surveys and inspection program, covering, superstructures, stacks, silos, secondary containment structures, drains, sump, pits, road, rail track, fireproofing * Liaise with consultants and specialists to develop specific solutions for projects, (small, medium, and large), maintenance and turnaround * Liaise with plant owner to gather information for the development of specific solutions. * Be proficient in all, or most, of the aspects of Civil & Structural engineering techniques. * Design experience is essential * Experience with specific structural and civil engineering design software is required, e.g Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, Stadd.Pro, Graitec, SAP2000 * Proficient in AutoCAD, conversant with Advance Steel, Navisworks * Experience in the implementation and design of temporary works solution, e.g. superlifts, temporary support for retrofitting of new equipment utilising existing Critical Skills: * Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer (Or actively working towards chartered status) * Demonstrated technical expertise (to recognised professional level or equivalent) * Excellent communicator and presenter * Wide industry / discipline knowledge and contacts * Highly customer focussed * Understands role and uses expertise to contribute to business improvement * Ability to manage conflicting priorities * Decision maker & motivator Qualifications & Experience: * BEng or Master’s degree in engineering, or relevant discipline * IT literate with experience of AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel & Word * Advantageous but nor essential, charter or working toward chartership with a recognised organisation, ICE, IStructE
