As a Software Support Engineer at Azenta, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our innovative genomics informatics applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and enhance software features that support cutting-edge research in genomics. Overall Purpose of the Job: Performs analysis, development, testing and documentation of software applications for company products. Assignments include development and enhancements of software systems as well as troubleshooting of issues found at customer sites. * Duties include developing software solutions, executing testing / debugging routines, and documenting work and results. * Connects with customers to investigate and debug issues found on customer sites using remote connection. Works closely with the main software development team in documenting and testing customer issues. * May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documentation of work and results. * Develops resolutions to diverse and complex problems very often requiring creativity. * Exercises judgment using generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at solutions. * Frequent contact with internal and external customers. * Occasional trips may be required to customer sites worldwide, for tools, installation or troubleshooting. Skills and Aptitude Profile: · Experience with C#, web services, Javascript/HTML 5.0 development · Experience with databases such as Oracle or MS SQL Server · Intermediate level in SQL · Experience with Agile methodology · Experience as a Software Engineer · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Desirable Skills · Database programming experience (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) · Experience in Device Controls and Automation · ISO9001 / GxP Tools & Technologies · Visual Studio 2019 · Azure DevOps
