SEN Teaching Assistant – Kensington Location: Kensington, London Start Date: ASAP / January 2026 Contract: Full-time, long-term (term-time only) Salary: £85 – £100 per day (dependent on experience) About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming SEN primary school in Kensington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Key Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs * Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons * Help implement individual learning and behaviour plans * Promote inclusion and ensure all pupils feel valued and supported * Support pupils with their social and emotional development * Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment The Ideal Candidate: * Has previous experience working with children with SEN (either in schools or other settings) * Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude * Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills * Can work effectively as part of a supportive team * Holds relevant training or qualifications (e.g. Safeguarding, First Aid, Team Teach – desirable but not essential) About the School: This Kensington-based SEN primary school is highly regarded for its inclusive ethos and commitment to supporting every child’s individual journey.
