Quality Engineer Location: Based in Wolverhampton Hours: 39 hours per week Reports to: Senior Quality Engineer About the Role We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support operations in maintaining high standards of product quality. You will act as a technical expert in quality tools and techniques, ensuring that manufacturing processes and documentation meet both internal and customer standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality documentation and controls. Compile and manage customer-specific documentation. Support internal manufacturing teams in resolving customer and internal quality issues. Work closely with NPI teams on control plans, PFMEA, and gauge planning. Carry out internal audits and support compliance activities. Provide quality and process data to manufacturing teams to drive improvements. Train and support Quality Technicians and Product Conformance Technicians. Visit customer and supplier sites to resolve quality concerns and build strong relationships. About You Proven experience applying quality assurance techniques with strong problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of metal forming and fabrication processes. Experience in a 1st Tier Automotive Supplier Quality Engineering role. Strong understanding of OEM customer requirements. Able to interpret data and apply statistical and analytical thinking. Excellent communication skills with a positive, flexible attitude. Results-driven, with enthusiasm and ownership to see tasks through to completion. Qualifications & Skills HNC (or equivalent) in Manufacturing or Engineering. Quality Assurance qualification preferred. Working knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, etc.). Valid driving licence – some travel required in the UK and abroad
