About the role Title – Security Administration assistant Annual salary- £13,018 Location – Derby Shift Timings – Monday to Friday, 08:00- 12:00 To provide efficient administrative and operational support to the Security and Administration department at East Midlands Gateway. ensuring that security operations, documentation, and office management tasks are carried out effectively and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Free Meals during the hours of Canteen opening. Free Uniform Your main responsibilities may include: Assist with the coordination and monitoring of on-site security operations and personnel. Maintain and update access control systems, ID badges, and visitor logs. Support the management of CCTV systems, incident reports, and alarm monitoring. Ensure compliance with security procedures and assist with internal audits. Coordinate with contractors and external security providers for maintenance or incident response. Help prepare security reports, risk assessments, and emergency response documentation. Provide general administrative assistance to the Security and Administration teams. Cover main DHL reception when required. Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and databases (both electronic and hard copy). Assist with scheduling of security team and absence Process purchase orders, invoices, and other administrative documentation. Support onboarding processes for new staff, including issuing access passes and security briefings. Draft and distribute internal communications, notices, and security updates. To succeed in this role, you will need the following: Proven experience in an administrative or security support role. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive. Knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access control, incident reporting software). Basic understanding of security or health & safety regulations. Experience working in a facilities management or corporate environment. First Aid and Security Industry Authority (SIA) certification.
