CAD Technician

JOB – CAD Technician LOCATION – Bishop’s Stortford TERM – Permanent SALARY – £28,000 to £35,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Bishop’s Stortford, specialising in the design and production of mechanical and structural systems for a variety of industries. They are looking to grow their design team by taking on a CAD Technician to support ongoing design and production projects. The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes: • Experience working as a CAD Technician within an engineering or manufacturing environment • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D experience advantageous) • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings • Knowledge of fabrication, sheet metal, or mechanical design is beneficial • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Design, or a related field (HNC/HND or equivalent) The CAD Technician role will involve: • Producing 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical and fabrication projects • Preparing and updating layout, assembly, and detailed component drawings • Liaising with engineers, production staff, and clients to ensure designs meet project specifications • Supporting with design modifications and technical documentation • Ensuring all drawings comply with company and industry standards If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations
