Carmichael UK are working with a leading Tier 1 Contractor on a major highways infrastructure project in Norfolk, and are looking to recruit an experienced Agent to join the delivery team. As Agent, you will play a key role in driving the project forward, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-profile scheme improving critical regional infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently Manage and coordinate sub-contractors, ensuring performance and quality standards are met Develop and manage short-term programmes, effectively allocating resources and monitoring progress Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and the client team to maintain alignment across the project Lead on quality assurance, risk management, and reporting processes Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer on highways or major civil engineering projects Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders Proficient in programming and resource allocation (e.g. using MS Project, P6, or similar) Demonstrable experience in sub-contractor management Relevant CSCS, SMSTS, and ideally a Civil Engineering qualification
