Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Location: Edinburgh (covering Edinburgh & the West) Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 (depending on experience) Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time The Role We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management provider, working across commercial sites throughout Edinburgh and the East. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, and minor installation works on electrical systems across a range of commercial contracts. You’ll ensure all electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with current regulations, while maintaining strong client relationships and representing the company to a high standard. This is a mobile role, paid door-to-door, offering excellent long-term career stability and development within a well-respected FM business. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and fault-finding on electrical systems and equipment. * Complete minor installation, remedial, and upgrade works as required. * Work across a variety of commercial sites, including offices, retail, and healthcare environments. * Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. * Accurately complete all required service reports and job documentation. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues. Requirements * 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (essential). * City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification. * Proven experience within commercial electrical maintenance and servicing. * 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification (advantageous). * Full UK Driving Licence. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
