Accommodation Manager


Migrant Help are currently looking for an Accommodation Manager to join their team. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £41,780 per annum. The Accommodation Manager role: Part of the Modern Slavery Victim Care team, the Accommodation Manager is a rewarding and supportive role at Migrant Help. You will be responsible for ensuring that Migrant Help provides effective and qualitative services in line with contractual obligations and statutory compliance requirements. You will ensure that quality standards are met and, where possible, exceeded. You are expected to maintain and develop excellent working relationships and referral procedures with and between external stakeholders to improve the access to and quality of mainstream and specialist services for MSVC Service Users. You will work consistently to ensure the continuous development of the role and ensure that the service is delivered according to procedures and processes which are accurate, professional and consistent at all times. Key responsibilities of our Accommodation Manager: Work closely with the MSVC Head of Service to support their strategic objectives. Responsible for day-to-day operational management of the designated Accommodation and staff Providing management cover where necessary for other MSVC Managers Working with the Facilities Team and any maintenance companies in order to ensure compliance with the Accommodation Standards, including ensuring regular inspections are carried out and issues reported to the Facilities Manager/MSVC Head of Service Managing the staff rota, workload allocation and delegating work appropriately, ensuring effective delivery of service and in line with contractual requirements Responsible for people-related functions, such as recruitment, inductions, employee development, appraisal and supervision, absence monitoring, disciplinary and conflict resolution. Skills and experience we are looking for in our  Accommodation Manager: A good general knowledge of the statutory and voluntary provision of support services to be provided to victims of modern slavery and asylum seekers Experience of working in Social Care setting and working with clients who present with complex needs, including mental health, psychological trauma and substance misuse Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail The ability to manage a specialist service dealing with a specific group of Service Users with complex needs or who are classified as ‘high risk’ Migrant Help is committed to safeguarding those we provide a service to, applicants will have to undergo strict vetting procedures throughout different stages of the recruitment process therefore:   This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check therefore applicants must: Be able to provide documents to show their right to work in the UK (such as Passport, work visa, settled status document, certificate of registration, naturalisation as a British citizen, Biometric Residence Permit etc.) Provide full employment history for the previous 3 years and/or suitable documentation to cover any gaps in employment These are some of the benefits we offer: Our working week is 35 hours per week offering flexibility and work life balance Enhanced family friendly provisions Employees will gain an extra day annual leave per year to a maximum of 39 days, including bank holidays (pro-rata).
