IMH Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Administrator Level 3 to join our client’s Taxi & Private Hire Licensing team in Leeds. This is a hands-on administrative role, supporting the licensing of taxis and private hire drivers and vehicles, ensuring the process runs smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with legislation. Key Responsibilities: * Provide a welcoming, professional counter service to members of the public, drivers, and operators. * Process new licence applications and renewals accurately, including cash and cheque handling and issuing receipts. * Respond to enquiries via telephone, email, and letters. * Ensure accurate input and tracking of applications within the licensing system (Uniform/iDocs). * Undertake checks following ‘fit and proper’ and safeguarding procedures, including DBS verification. * Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive personal documentation (passports, bank statements, etc.) and adhere to GDPR. * Assist with training, supervision, and mentoring of new or clerical staff. * Contribute to management reports, policy development, and enforcement procedures. * Work flexibly and collaboratively to meet service objectives and deadlines. Essential Skills & Experience: * Strong administration experience with data input, document verification, and attention to detail. * Clean Enhanced DBS check required. * Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively. * Experience handling cash/financial transactions accurately. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using information systems. * Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. * Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and GDPR requirements. * Previous experience in licensing, local government, or a regulated environment is desirable. Qualifications: * English Language qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade C or at least one year’s relevant office experience. * NVQ Level 3 Business Admin qualification or equivalent. Hours & Pay: * Monday to Friday (working hours confirmed at interview) * £13.69 – £14.36 per hour. * The contract length will be for a minimum 3–4 months. Interested?
